Founded by Vince Ridolfo in 1967 the Ridolfo Group of Companies is the Western Australian-owned parent company of Ridcon Properties. With a rich history spanning almost 50 years, the Group has grown from a family business to a diverse and successful service-based organisation.

WA WOOD POLE PIONEER

The Ridolfo Group’s first venture was a pioneering West Australian wood pole business. Starting out supplying locally sourced jarrah poles to the State Energy Commission (Western Power) Western Poles went on to source pine locally and import it from Mt Gambier in South Australia. In partnership with sister company IML Logistics, Western Poles introduced what is believed to be the world’s first barcode based track and trace capability along the full supply chain process. Western Poles also innovatively introduce the Fireguard fire retardant coating pre installation. The company was acquired by Koppers Holdings Inc in 2012.

TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS

The Group also operated IML Logistics – a large transport and logistics service provider, that originally traded as Ridolfo Logistics and later as Intercon Logistics. The business grew steadily both organically and through acquisition, diversifying to provide true 3PL logistics services to customers across utility, ports, industrial, mining and retail sectors. At the time of its sale in 2013 (to one of Australia’s largest logistics providers, Qube Logistics) IML had a fleet in excess of 200 pieces of equipment and employed 150 staff.

PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT

Today, Managing Director Anthony V. Ridolfo has refocused strategic direction towards Ridcon Properties – The Group’s commercial and industrial property development business. Ridcon Properties offers comprehensive portfolio management, property development, property maintenance and leasing services to local and national clients. Anthony’s brother Daniel independently operates a heavy equipment repairs and maintenance business – DGR Diesel, and supplies innovative transport design solutions through Future Transport Solutions.
